The Dallas Cowboys are currently 3-4 on the season and share a division lead with the New York Giants. They ended a two-game losing streak on Monday night by beating the Philadelphia Eagles 38-21 on the road.

Dallas had fallen to 2-4 after losing its previous two contests. The team scored only 29 points in those games combined. Quarterback Dak Prescott threw four interceptions during that stretch. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer, who is 9-13-1 in his first season, had been receiving criticism for his play-calling despite calling himself an elite playcaller earlier in the week.

Prescott finished the game with three touchdown passes. He threw two to CeeDee Lamb and one to George Pickens. This marked the sixth time in his career he has thrown at least three scores against Philadelphia. Running back Javonte Williams carried the ball 25 times for a career-high 155 yards. He scored the final touchdown from two yards out with 2 minutes and 21 seconds remaining.

The Cowboys achieved more than 200 rushing yards and 200 passing yards against the Eagles for the first time since 1983. The defense intercepted Eagles quarterback Tanner McKee once, with DeMarvion Overshown making the catch. Quinnen Williams and Donovan Ezeiruaku each recorded a sack. However, Philadelphia scored touchdowns on its first possession of both the first and second halves.

Schottenheimer was reserved in his postgame comments, contrasting with his usual locker room celebrations. He stated the team simply played well and that he was excited for his players. Prescott noted that Schottenheimer appeared hungry and motivated to answer questions about his job performance. The quarterback said the team supports its coach but emphasized that execution on the field is the primary focus.

The next game for Dallas is against the Arizona Cardinals at AT&T Stadium. Arizona is 2-5 on the season. The Cowboys have not won consecutive games since a three-game winning streak in weeks 11 through 13 of the previous season. Their last victory before Monday was on October 4 against the Houston Texans.

According to ESPN Analytics, Dallas has a 57 percent chance of winning the NFC East. Schottenheimer said the victory places the team back in the division race. Prescott added that no one will give the Cowboys a win and that the team must earn every result each week.
