Ukrainian military commanders reported 177 combat clashes across the front lines in the 24 hours ending at 08:00 on October 26. The Pokrovsk sector absorbed the heaviest pressure, with Ukrainian units repelling 36 separate Russian assaults. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released these figures in a morning update, detailing the distribution of fighting across ten distinct operational fronts.
The Huliaipole and Kostiantynivka fronts followed in intensity. Ukrainian forces stopped 13 Russian attacks near Uspenske, Rizdvianka, Dolynka, Hirke, and Yehorivka on the Huliaipole line. On the Kostiantynivka sector, defenders repelled 12 assaults near settlements including Raiske, Mykolaipillia, and Kostiantynivka. Smaller engagements occurred on the South Slobozhanshchyna and Lyman fronts, where Ukrainian troops halted eight attacks each. A single clash was recorded on the Kramatorsk front near Malynivka, and three occurred on the North Slobozhanshchyna line.
Russian forces remained inactive on several key sectors. The General Staff noted no offensive operations on the Kupiansk, Sloviansk, Oleksandrivka, Orikhiv, or Prydniprovske fronts. On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the operational situation remained stable, with no evidence of Russian groups forming for an offensive.
The next scheduled update from the General Staff is expected in the coming hours, likely at the 08:00 mark on October 27. That report will detail the status of the 177 recorded clashes and any shifts in Russian positioning on the ten active and inactive fronts.
