Bayboro Brewing will host a free Veterans Day celebration on Saturday, November 7, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at its St. Petersburg location. The gathering serves a dual purpose as a community party and a direct fundraiser for the nonprofit Hearts Behind the Heroes. The organization is using the proceeds to provide Thanksgiving meals for 600 recently homed veterans and their families.
The financial goal for the event is specific and measurable. A donation of $50 covers a full Thanksgiving dinner for a veteran and a family of four. The brewery offers several ways for attendees to contribute to this cause. These methods include a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, and a "Buy A Vet A Meal" tab where guests can add funds directly.
Bayboro Brewing is a veteran-owned and operated craft brewery. It operates a full kitchen and bar at 2390 5th Ave S. The establishment is known for its smoked meats, craft beer, and cocktails. For this specific event, the menu will include additional items such as jambalaya and cowboy beans. The venue will host both indoor and outdoor activities throughout the five-hour window.
Veterans attending the event will receive complimentary services. Through the brewery's ongoing "Buy A Vet A Beer" tab, all military veterans can drink free all day. Guests can contribute to this tab by adding funds. Additionally, Scotty's Barbershop will be present on-site to provide free haircuts to veterans during the party.
The entertainment lineup features local bands and performers in the brewery's venue. Local vendors will also be in attendance to sell their goods. The event is structured to keep the focus on the fundraising mission while providing a festive atmosphere. The brewery encourages attendees to follow its Instagram account for further details on the day's activities.
The event takes place in the Bayboro Brewing complex. The space is designed to accommodate a mix of live music, food service, and vendor booths. The free entry policy is open to the public, with the primary cost to attendees being their personal consumption of food and drinks or voluntary donations to the veteran support tabs.
