The National Basketball Association played just four games on Tuesday, October 27.

The limited schedule created a smaller pool of available players for daily fantasy sports lineups. Despite the reduced number of matchups, the available talent included several top-tier scorers. Victor Wembanyama, Cade Cunningham, Jalen Brunson, and Domantas Sabonis all featured prominently in the player pool.

Pistons center Jalen Duren missed the game against the New York Knicks due to a hamstring injury. His absence altered the projected playing time for his teammates. Karl-Anthony Towns of the Knicks faced a weaker opposing frontcourt, which increased his projected fantasy value. Detroit forwards Paul Reed and Tolu Smith were expected to see more minutes as the team adjusted its rotation.

SportsLine analyst Mike McClure, a professional DFS player with over $2 million in career winnings, identified specific high-value targets for the day. McClure uses a predictive model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times to determine optimal lineups. His analysis for Tuesday centered on Lakers point guard Luka Doncic.

Doncic carried a salary of $11,300 on DraftKings and $11,600 on FanDuel. He led the league in scoring after the first week of the season with 34.3 points per game. The two-time scoring champion had just posted a 52-point, 10-assist, 8-rebound performance against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday. McClure noted that Doncic averaged 36 points, 8.8 assists, and 8 rebounds in his last four meetings against Portland.

McClure also highlighted Kings power forward Precious Achiuwa as a value play. Achiuwa was listed at $5,000 on DraftKings and $5,400 on FanDuel. He scored in double figures in all three games this season, including a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double in his most recent start. Achiuwa was expected to remain in the starting lineup with Keegan Murray out with a foot injury. Last season, Achiuwa averaged 17.2 points, 10.4 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, and 1.1 steals in games where he played at least 30 minutes.
