Kim Greene, Chairman, President and CEO of Georgia Power, will discuss the utility's 2026 priorities at the Cobb Chamber of Commerce's Marquee Monday event on Nov. 9. The conversation will center on initiatives designed to address rising energy demand in the state.

Greene has worked in the energy sector for more than 30 years. Her leadership experience includes roles in engineering, operations, finance and strategy. She will speak about the company's efforts to expand electric generation capacity. The discussion will also cover the scaling of renewable energy programs, specifically the CARES program, and new initiatives aimed at customer affordability.

The event is part of the Marquee Monday series, which is presented by Superior Plumbing. Registration for the November session remains open until Nov. 4. The cost is $50 for Cobb Chamber members and $75 for non-members. Interested parties may register via a link provided by the chamber. Free parking is available at The Battery Red Deck for up to two hours, while additional options are listed in the Battery Atlanta Parking Guide. Attendees must pass a security screening upon check-in.

During the evening, the chamber will recognize local educators through its Give Our Schools A Hand program. The Cobb County School District and Marietta City School district-level Teachers of the Year will each receive a one-year car lease from Voyles Automotive Group. The November event is sponsored by Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Renasant Bank, Town Center Community Improvement District, Coca-Cola Roxy & Live Nation Special Events, Delaware North, Pure Melon, Classic Tents & Events, Three-13 Salon, Spa, & Boutique, and Verizon.
