SLR Food Distribution Inc. is voluntarily recalling Wise Wife Brand Ground Cinnamon. The company is removing the product from the market because it may contain high levels of lead.

The recall covers cinnamon sold in 14 states. These states include New York, Texas, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. The company sold the product in grocery and retail stores from September 8, 2025, through June 28, 2026.

Shoppers should look for a clear plastic container holding 110 grams. The package has a black screw-top cap. The best-before date is April 25, 2027. The UPC code on the back label is 0688474302754.

The recall notice states that lead can affect nearly every body system. The impact depends on the dose, how long a person is exposed, and their age and weight. Short-term exposure to low levels might not cause immediate symptoms.

No illnesses have been reported so far. Consumers are told not to eat the recalled cinnamon. They should throw the product away or return it to the store where they bought it for a full refund.
